Pain is more than just a physical hardship; it is an emotionally draining experience.  The pain Center at Memorial Hospital offers a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to each patient's problem, involving experts in  diagnostic and anesthetic block techniques, physical therapy, and pharmacology.

Pain Center - Our Mission
We are dedicated to the relief of pain and   suffering.  With a team of dedicated professionals and a comprehensive approach to pain management, we are able to treat most forms of pain.  By incorporating education into our treatment program, we seek to motivate patients to be actively involved in their own care.

Diagnosis
There are many causes of pain, therefore, determining an accurate diagnosis is essential to achieving a positive outcome.  By obtaining a medical history, performing a physical   examination, and ordering appropriate testing, we can determine the specific cause of the pain.

Team Approach
The Pain Center at Memorial Hospital offers an anesthesia-based approach to pain management.  We interact with many medical specialties to broaden diagnostic and treatment options, thus achieving the most positive    outcome.  We routinely work with skilled    professionals in such disciplines as Family and Internal Medicine, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Nursing, Oncology, Orthopedics, Physical Therapy, and Psychiatry.  By communicating on a regular basis with members of the care team, pain is controlled in the most effective manner.
